Best Selkirk Paddles (2026): Omni, Boomstik, SLK and LUXX Compared

Selkirk's catalogue is big and confusing, with lines that overlap in price and purpose. The most useful way to sort it in 2026 is by job: the Omni for all-court play, the Boomstik for power, the LUXX for control and the SLK line for lower prices. Pickleball Effect has measured five of them recently, and the numbers show clear differences.
Updated October 28, 2026. We have not tested these paddles ourselves. This guide pulls together lab measurements and court testing published in 2026 by Pickleball Effect (hands-on testing plus lab data) and Pickleheads (more than 180 paddles tested over five years), and checks list prices and specs against their pages. Both sites earn affiliate commissions on some links, though each says brands cannot pay for placement. None of the paddles below are paid placements, and we link to our own paddle page wherever we have one. Prices are the list prices those sources showed in October 2026 and change often.
Two terms used below. Swing weight is how heavy a paddle feels in motion: a lower number is quicker and easier to swing, a higher number plows through the ball. Twist weight is stability on off-center hits: a higher number means the face twists less when you miss the middle.

Check approval before you buy for tournaments. USA Pickleball started a new spin test on October 1, 2026 with a 2,100 RPM ceiling for newly certified paddles; paddles certified earlier keep their approval (Pickleball Effect, Pickleball.com). Some very grippy paddles are approved only by UPA-A, the body used for pro events, so look up your paddle on the USA Pickleball approved list if you play sanctioned events.

1. Selkirk Omni
$300, Gen 4 foam, in elongated and widebody versions. Pickleball Effect measured: elongated, swing weight 122, twist weight 6.87, firepower 67, spin about 2,064 RPM; widebody, swing weight 116, twist weight 7.82, firepower 66, spin about 2,059 RPM. Both are premium all-court paddles built around Selkirk's weight placement.

2. Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik
$333, Gen 4 foam. Pickleball Effect says it was among the first foam paddles to show foam could replace a polymer core for power. The elongated measured firepower 87, swing weight 121, twist weight 6.92 and about 1,989 RPM; the widebody firepower 81, swing weight 113, twist weight 7.72 and about 1,980 RPM.

3. Selkirk SLK ERA Power
$200, Gen 3 polymer core. Elongated: firepower 54, swing weight 117, twist weight 6.28, about 2,020 RPM. Pickleball Effect picked the elongated as the control choice on its all-court list, and notes it is approved by USA Pickleball and UPA-A.

4. Selkirk SLK Dauntless
$180, Gen 4 foam. Elongated: firepower 47, swing weight 117, twist weight 6.56, about 2,064 RPM. Widebody: firepower 48, swing weight 110, twist weight 7.36, about 2,020 RPM. Pickleball Effect describes it as a touch-first paddle that favors consistency over power.

5. Selkirk LUXX Control Air Invikta
Pickleball Effect lists the Invikta (elongated) version at $280, a Gen 2 polymer core with foam elements. It measured firepower of just 14, swing weight 117, twist weight 5.83 and about 1,993 RPM. That is a very soft, low-power paddle with a low twist weight. Our database lists the LUXX Control Air at $200.
