The Skilled Pickle (theskilledpickle.com) is a pickleball paddle and gear information site. This policy explains what information the site and its service providers collect when you visit, and the choices you have. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
Usage data
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read. It collects usage data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view and how long you stay. It uses cookies or similar identifiers to do this. Google describes how it handles this data in its own privacy policy.
Advertising
The site may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this or other sites. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings or at aboutads.info.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them to reply.
Information stored in your browser
Some tools save small pieces of information in your own browser (local storage) so they work the way you left them, for example the paddles you ticked to compare in the paddle finder. This stays on your device. We do not receive it, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
The quizzes and calculators run in your browser. The answers you give are not sent to us or saved.
Links and affiliate links
Some links to retailers are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy. Those retailers have their own privacy practices. See our affiliate disclosure.
Third-party content
Some pages show event listings and product images from other sites. When a page loads images through our server, your browser talks to our server, not to the other site.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser that blocks trackers.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
- Manage ad personalization in your Google account.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it, through the contact page.
Changes
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and its date.
