General Thoughts
As an experienced pickleball player, I was excited to test out the Big Dill Pickleball Co. Original Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle. I've heard great things about the company and their products, so I was eager to see how this paddle would perform on the court. First off I love the design, the cartoon pickle and green gradient look great and always make me chuckle. While I thought this would just be a fun take it easy on the weekend paddle with its whimsical cartoon design, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with this paddle performance.
Paddle Design
The design of the Big Dill Pickleball Co. Original Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle is sleek and modern. The guys over at big dill used a premium carbon fiber surface material, which gives the paddle a sleek feel. The synthetic padded handle is comfortable to hold and provides a good grip.
In terms of the handle, The 4.5-inch circumference handle with synthetic padded material should suit many hand sizes and was comfortable for long games. The neoprene cover is a great addition as it provides extra protection for the paddle, keeping it in great condition for longer.
The dimensions of the paddle are 7.8 x 15.6 inches (width x full height) which is a fairly standard size. The paddle is designed with edge guard which protects the paddle from chipping and other damages.

Attacking

However, I found that the paddle is a bit stiff and it does not have much flex, so it is not ideal for players who like to play with a lot of spin.
Control Play
In terms of control play, the Big Dill Pickleball Co. Original Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle performed admirably. The wide paddle surface made it easy to control the ball and place it exactly where I wanted it to go. I was able to hit some great dinks and drop shots, and my opponents had a hard time returning them.
Negative Criticisms
That being said, there were a few things that I didn't like about the Big Dill Pickleball Co. Original Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle. Firstly, it is a bit heavy for my liking, so it took some getting used to. Secondly, the grip of the handle becomes slippery when it gets wet, so I had to be extra careful during humid games. This is obviously not a paddle for a pickleball pro but if you like the design your game will not suffer. All in all it's a good beginner to intermediate paddle.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I have to say that I am impressed with the Big Dill Pickleball Co. Original Carbon Fiber Pickleball Paddle. It is a great paddle for players who like to hit with power and precision, but it may not be the best option for players who like to play with a lot of spin. The design is sleek and modern, and the neoprene cover is a nice touch. However, it is a bit heavy and the grip can become slippery when it gets wet.
