Overview
The SLK Evo line is Selkirk's value-oriented paddle family. The Evo Hybrid and Evo Soft versions differ mainly in face material and feel.
According to retailer listings, the original Evo Hybrid Max has a fiberglass (C6-Flex Power) face and a 13 mm Rev-Soft polymer core, is about 16 inches long and 7.85 inches wide, weighs roughly 7.8 to 8.2 ounces and has a 4.85 inch handle. The Evo Soft line uses a carbon fiber (G8-Flex) face over a Rev-Soft core for the softest feel in the family and comes in Max and XL (more elongated, about 16.4 x 7.4 inches) shapes.
Specs vary by version and model year (there is also an Evo 2.0 series), so check the manufacturer's page for the exact paddle you are considering.
Who It Suits
The Hybrid is a good fit for players who want a forgiving, controllable paddle without paying for a premium carbon model. The Soft is aimed at players who want a more muted, plush feel for dinking and resets.
