It also makes it easier to control the spin on the ball, which is a huge plus.Overall, the Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is a fantastic paddle that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to take their game to the next level. It's a great combination of power, control, and accuracy that is sure to help you improve your pickleball game.

Paddle Design

The design of the Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is really impressive. It has a sleek, modern look with a graphite face and a unique, eye-catching detail on the back. The paddle itself is light and well balanced, making it easy to play with for hours without feeling fatigued. The specs of this paddle are impressive as well. It has a textured graphite face, which gives a good mix of power and control. The paddle features Paddletek's Smart Response Technology, designed to improve feel and sensitivity. The grip is comfortable and secure, making it perfect for all skill levels. One of the things I like most about this paddle is its ability to generate spin on the ball. With its advanced design, I'm able to put more spin on my shots which gives me more control over my game. It also provides great control when hitting low shots or volleying close to the net since I can hit them with accuracy and power without sacrificing control or spin. The main downside I can see is that it may feel a bit light and lively for players who prefer a heavier paddle. Overall, the Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle packs power, control and touch into one package, which should suit intermediate to advanced players.

Attacking Play

The Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is good for attacking play. With its responsive feel, I'm able to quickly adjust my shots in the court to perform a cross-court smash or a tricky drop shot. The graphite face also adds some serious power for when I need to send the ball flying across the court, and I can always depend on the paddle to deliver the power I need to take control of the point.I also love how well the paddle responds to my spin shots. I can put just the right amount of spin on the ball to force my opponents out of position, allowing me to take the initiative and take control of the court. The grip is comfortable and secure, allowing me to confidently pull off the trickiest of shots with accuracy and control. One thing I noticed is that the paddle is on the lighter side, which can make it harder to keep the ball on track against heavy hitters. That being said, it’s still an outstanding paddle for attacking play and it’s a great choice for any pickleball enthusiast looking for a serious edge on their opponents.

Control Play

Playing with the Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is a pleasure when it comes to control play. I can easily adjust my shots to a pinpoint accuracy and force my opponents into uncomfortable positions. The thin grip lets me easily maneuver the paddle so I can place just the right amount of spin on the ball, allowing me to keep my opponents on their toes. The lightweight design also adds some great maneuverability, allowing me to pull off tricky shots with ease. The paddle also offers a great balance between power and control, making it easy to transition from defense to offense in an instant. I can rely on the paddle’s power when I need to send a shot flying across court, but if I need more finesse then I can trust that the paddle will deliver with pinpoint accuracy. This makes it an ideal choice for players who want all-around performance at any level of play.My only complaint is that it is not as spin-friendly as the raw carbon paddles that are now common, so players who rely on heavy spin may want to compare those. That said, it handles volleys and slices well once you get used to it.

Sum It Up

The Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is a great choice for any pickleball enthusiast looking to take their game to the next level. It's a powerful paddle that offers a great balance between power and control, making it perfect for both attacking and defensive play. The lightweight design and comfortable grip make it easy to maneuver and control shots with precision, while the graphite face adds some serious power when needed. The paddle is on the lighter side, which some players may find less stable against heavy hitters, but for players looking for a graphite-faced paddle with good touch, the Tempest Wave Pro Graphite Paddle is definitely worth considering.
